Well the unthinkable has happened. I have started a “blog”. As many of you know I have often said that I didn’t see the usefulness of blogs for us ordinary folks. Im not an authority on anything and my opinion on any subject is no more valid or important than the next guy’s. The one area of usefulness I have seen for blogs, by us common folk, is using them to keep in touch with a large group of people whilst one is off doing other things and constant contact would be difficult.

In that vain I now bring to you my “blog” (I hate that word by the way). My reason for this endeavor is that I will be out of the country for six weeks and it will be costly and time consuming to phone or write all the people I would want to keep in the loop about my doings while in Russia and Germany. In days gone by I would simply have left, done my thing and told everyone about it when I got back.

My plan is to update this blog every few days, or as significant events happen. I will also update my flickr page. This blog will show the ten latest flickr posts at the bottom of the page. Right now it is showing some stuff I did at the beginning of the summer for SVCN. Well check back as often as you like to see how Im doing and we can still go have a pint when I get back and I’ll tell you all the details that don’t make it into the blog.
